Duo held in robbery of Oregon woman, 72

    A man and woman are being held in the Lucas County jail for robbing a 72-year-old woman inside her Oregon apartment.

    Pierre Whitaker, 29, and Sarah Gonzalez, 24, were arrested late Friday by Oregon police. Both are charged with aggravated burglary.

    Ms. Gonzalez is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond; Mr. Whitaker is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond, according to court documents.

    The pair are accused of following a woman on Jan. 3, who lives in the Fountain Square Apartments on Navarre Avenue, to her residence after she withdrew money from the bank. A man is accused of pushing her inside the apartment and demanding cash from the woman.
