Man arrested in connection with Springfield Twp. shooting

Lucas County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Toledo man Saturday in connection with a shooting that wounded two last week in Springfield Township.

Calvin Gholikely, 19, of 3937 Airport Hwy., was charged with three counts of felonious assault. He was held in the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Monday in Sylvania Municipal Court.

Authorities said he was arrested about 2 p.m. in the 200 block of East Oakland Street by sheriff’s deputies.

Two people went to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, after the shooting Feb. 19 at Oakwood Gardens apartments at 235 N. McCord Rd.
