LIMA, Ohio -- City police have broken up a "large" marijuana-growing operation, netting drugs, guns, and cultivation materials.

Officers on patrol in the 300 block of South Pine Street Wednesday reportedly smelled raw marijuana and, after circling the block, determined that the smell was coming from 396 S. Pine, according to a Lima Police Department statement. The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force obtained a search warrant for the house after someone inside declined to admit patrol officers.

From the house officers took about 32 pounds of marijuana, two shotguns and a pistol, and equipment including lights, pots, and fans.

No arrests were immediately made, but the case will be presented to the Allen County grand jury, the police department said.
