A 45-year-old Rossford man Wednesday night allegedly crashed a pickup truck into a house in Rossford, got out of the vehicle, stripped naked, then chased down and choked a woman who was walking by, authorities said.

Anthony Parrish suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy St. Vincent’s Medical Center for evaluation and treatment, Rossford police said.

Police said Parrish was driving a 2004 GMC pickup truck at high rated speed north on Oak Street about 8:10 p.m. when the pickup struck a curb as it approached a bend in the street, just southeast of Dixie Highway, becoming airborne.

The truck then struck a porch at a residence in the 100 block of Oak, landed on a car parked in the driveway, and slid into the side of an apartment building. The driver then exited the truck, stripped off his clothes, and began chasing an unidentified woman who was walking nearby, according to police.

Once he caught up with the woman, he started to choke her, at which time he was tackled by two neighbors, reports state. Then police arrived and restrained him, officers said.

Electricity and gas lines to the two structures were shut off while the vehicles were being removed from the scene, police said.

It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved but neighbors had reported squealing of tires as the man drove from his nearby residence, police said.

Police did not say whether the woman was injured. The resident of the house and a resident in the apartment building, who were inside their homes at the time of the crash, were not injured, police said.

The incident remained under investigation. Charges have not been filed.
