Girl, 15, from Swanton injured in ATV accident

SWANTON — A 15-year-old girl from Swanton was injured Saturday night when she was thrown from the all-terrain vehicle on which she was a passenger in Fulton County’s Swan Creek Township.

Troopers with the Toledo post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said the ATV was southbound on Fulton County Road 1-2 near Road E-F about 7:20 p.m. when the vehicle went out of control.

The girl was ejected as the ATV drove off the right side of the road. She was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with injuries that troopers said were not life threatening.

She and the driver, a 15-year-old boy from Swanton, wore helmets. Troopers did not release their names.
