Two people were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening in Monclova Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Katelyn Myers, 20, and her passenger, Joseph Myers, 23, both of Toledo were transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly Medical College of Ohio Hospital, after their car collided with a flatbed truck at Maumee Western and Eber roads.

Their conditions were not available.

Troopers said Ms. Myers was northbound on Eber about 7 p.m. when she failed to yield at the stop sign.

Her car was struck in the intersection by the westbound vehicle driven by Juan Sierra, 49, of Archbold, Ohio.

Mr. Sierra and his passengers, Eric Blair, 52, John Sierra, 24, and Dexter Sierra, 19, all of Archbold, were not injured.
