BOWLING GREEN — A woman has reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by two men in this Wood County city.

The woman told Bowling Green police on Thursday that she was going into her apartment building in the 400 block of East Court Street late on April 1 when two men forced her into the back of a vehicle, according to a statement by police.

The men, wearing masks, took turns assaulting the woman with the other behind the wheel.

Police describe both suspects as white men. One is taller than 6 feet and thin, the other shorter than 6 feet and stocky, according to police. The victim described the vehicle as a dark-colored, four-door compact car with a tan interior.

This is the second sexual assault reported by Bowling Green police in the past several weeks.

Late last month, authorities said a woman was sexually assaulted on either March 17 or March 18 when four men took the woman, who was walking along Manville Avenue near the university, to a house where she was assaulted.

The investigation into each incident is ongoing.
