Toledo man charged in nursing home thefts

A Toledo man charged with posing as a maintenance worker and stealing from medical buildings and nursing homes was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Tuesday.

Moses White, Jr., 37, of 899 Toronto Ave., was charged with three counts of burglary. He faces up to 24 years in prison if convicted.

Court documents allege that, on March 17 a man went into a secure area at Foundation Park Care Center, 1621 N. Byrne Rd., entered patients’ rooms, and searched their personal belongings.

Mr. White is also charged with March 19 thefts from a ProMedica laboratory at 3156 W. Central Ave. where two wallets were stolen from a purse, as well as the theft of an employee’s purse at Toledo Wound Care, 3110 W. Central, that same day.
