Two men killed in separate incidents over the weekend both died of single gunshot wounds, according to autopsy results.

Rual Izquierdo, 36, who was shot and killed late Saturday in the 300 block of Langdon St. in South Toledo, died of a single gunshot wound to the head, said Lucas County Deputy Coroner Dr. Diane Scala-Barnett.

Torian Tall, 25, who was shot and killed at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday behind a Valero Gas Station in the 3300 block of Monroe Street, died from a single gunshot wound to the neck, said Deputy Coroner Dr. Cynthia Beisser.

A memorial for Tall was set up on Sunday where friends and family gathered for a candlelight vigil, said Iesha Lawrence, a friend who was at the memorial site Monday afternoon.

Another friend, Ashley Neal, said Tall had one son, 10-month-old Torian, Jr.

“He was a good dad to his son,” Ms. Neal said. “He touched a lot of people in all parts of town.”

The women said Tall was a first cousin to Darnell Townsend-Tall, 36, who was shot and killed at his East Weber Street home Nov. 4. Six Toledo men have been arrested and charged in his death.

No arrests have been made in either weekend death, which were the seventh and eighth homicides of the year within the city of Toledo.
