Fire destroys vacant central Toledo house

A vacant house in central Toledo was destroyed by fire today, and at least one other nearby house was damaged, according to the Toledo Fire Department.

An arson investigator was called to the destroyed vacant house at 1046 Avondale Ave. The Red Cross was called to assist occupants of a home at 1044 Avondale Ave., which was damaged.

Firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 6:26 a.m. The vacant house was torn down.
