Counterfeit fashion accessories valued at more than $25,000 were confiscated by Perrysburg Township police this morning after a traffic stop.

Police say a vehicle, driven by Tujanna Gibbs, 39, of Atlanta, was stopped for a marked lanes violation on southbound I-75 at about 5 a.m. During the stop, police were given permission to search the vehicle, where they found large duffel bags containing the counterfeit merchandise.

In the bags were purses, hats, belts, wallets, and umbrellas with designer labels from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Michael Kors, and Tiffany.

Ms. Gibbs was arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit merchandise. She is being held in the Wood County jail pending arraignment in Perrysburg Municipal Court.

Police said Ms. Gibbs, based on information obtained during the investigation, had been selling merchandise at a show elsewhere and was on her way back to Atlanta at the time of the stop.
