Toledo man, 44, jailed in stabbing of cab driver

A Toledo man police say refused to pay his cab fare and, instead, stabbed the driver, is being held in the Lucas County jail after his arraignment Monday.

Michael Zettner, 44, of 2740 Isha Lay Dr. is charged with one count of aggravated robbery. His bond is set at $50,000, according to Toledo Municipal Court records.

Police said Todd Hendricks, the driver, gave a man a ride about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and, upon reaching the destination, 905 Curtis St. in South Toledo, the man refused to pay the $17 fare. The suspect pulled a knife. during a struggle, the taxi driver was cut on his hand and the suspect was cut on his left hand and leg, police said. The suspect fled the car once the driver had control of the knife, according to court documents.
