Toledo police are waiting for tests from the coroner's office to continue an apparent shaken baby investigation.

Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said the baby, about six months old, was pronounced dead on March 30 at a house in the 1200 block of Nebraska Avenue. When the fire department arrived, the baby, which "may have been a victim of shaken baby syndrome," was dead, he said.

Once tests come back from the Lucas County Coroner's Office, "investigators will continue on," Sergeant Heffernan said. No charges have been filed.
