Police have arrested a South Toledo man and charged him with the robbery Monday of the Key Bank, 1612 Broadway.

Jeffery McNeil, 35, was spotted about 3 p.m. today at Broadway and Newbury Street by members of the FBI’s Northwest Ohio Violent Crime Task Force and arrested.

He was charged with one count of robbery and booked into the Lucas County jail. He had additional unrelated outstanding warrants and was charged with those offenses, Toledo police said.

According to a warrant filed in Toledo Municipal Court, he walked into the bank Monday, handed the teller a note that demanded money, and threatened to kill her if she did not comply. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities have not reported whether he was armed.
