Death in Monroe being investigated
5/31/2012MONROE -- Monroe police are investigating the death Wednesday of a man, 49, who apparently shot himself inside a business where his estranged wife reportedly works.
Police were sent to GreenPath Debt Solutions, 826 S. Monroe St., at 12:51 p.m. on a report of a man with a gun. As police were on the way, a caller reported a shot fired. Authorities found the man, whose name has not been released pending family notification, with an apparent gunshot wound in the head. He was taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
