HILLSDALE, Mich. — At least one man was injured in a two-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday at East Bacon and Bridge roads just east of the city, authorities said.

Michael Clark, 62, of North Adams, Mich., who was driving a car, was taken to Hillsdale Community Health Center, according to a written statement by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

Sheriff deputies did not say whether Allen Mattson, 21, of Hillsdale, who was driving a sport utility vehicle, was injured in the crash. It was Mr. Mattson’s vehicle that rolled, deputies said. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash occurred about 4:16 p.m. at the intersection of Barnard Street and East Bacon and Bridge. Mr. Clark was driving east on Barnard when he stopped for a stop sign at East Bacon. He then started to cross East Bacon to turn left onto Bridge when his car was struck by the Mattson SUV, which was driving west on East Bacon, deputies said.

After the impact, the SUV rolled over several times and came to rest in a field northwest of the intersection.

Mr. Clark was cited for failure to yield and for driving with an expired driver’s license, according to the sheriff’s office.

Hillsdale is about 65 miles northwest of Toledo.
