Southview High School in Sylvania was placed on lockdown during the lunch hour Wednesday after a report of two men nearby with a weapon.

The lockdown lasted 13 minutes, said school spokesman Nancy Crandell, after it was determined the weapon was a BB gun.

At 12:07 p.m., police received the call that two males were near, but not on school property, at 7225 Sylvania Ave.
