Police ask help to solve 2011 double slaying

Toledo police are asking for help in solving a double homicide that happened in September at a central-city home.

Andrew Baker, 28, and Tanja Cathey, 28, were found dead Sept. 29 at their home in the 2200 block of Sanford Street. A 2-year-old boy was found alive in the home, according to police.

Baker was shot in the back of the neck; he was on the living room floor. Ms. Cathey, his longtime girlfriend, was dead in an upstairs bedroom, according to authorities. She suffered two gunshot wounds -- to the right side of her head and to her neck -- the Lucas County Coroner's Office said.

Police said neighbors reported hearing two series of gunshots about 6 a.m. that day The crime doesn't appear to have been random, according to police.
