Monroe police investigate murder
6/10/2012MONROE — Monroe police are investigating a murder that took place on the city’s east side in the early morning hours Sunday.
A male victim was found on the front porch of a family friend’s house and was bleeding from his head, according to Monroe police.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo where he later died, police said.
No other details were immediately available.
Police said the murder investigation is still in its early stages and has been turned over to the police department’s detective bureau.
