Rescue crews called to quarry in Monroe Township
6/20/2012MONROE — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies and rescue crews late today were at the scene of a water rescue at a former quarry on Dunbar Road near Hull Road in Monroe Township.
A person was reported to be in the water at the former France Stone quarry, but it was not known when the person went in.
Law enforcement officers regularly chase would-be swimmers from the property, authorities said.
