A Toledo man accused of lying to a detective during a homicide investigation was ordered to be released from jail during an arraignment this morning.

Rockne Adams, 30, of 1520 Elm St., was charged with one count of obstructing official business.

Toledo police Capt. Wes Bombrys declined to say which investigation the suspect is accused of hindering.

Adams is to appear in Toledo Municipal Court again on Aug. 16.

Two weeks ago, another man, Xavier Tate, 28, of 161 Austin St., was charged with obstructing official business and tampering with evidence, also for allegedly impeding a city homicide investigation.

Police would not comment on what case Tate is linked to.

Tate, who posted a $100,000 bond after his arrest, is to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on July 24.
