Authorities Monday continued their investigation into a fire that destroyed a vacant apartment building in East Toledo.

There were no injuries, according to the Toledo fire department. Firefighters arrived about 3 a.m. Monday at 1401 Greenwood Ave. They left the scene at 10:53 a.m., by which time the previously burned building was a total loss, the fire report said.

The structure was a two-story, four-unit apartment building constructed in 1912 and owned by Jeffrey M. and Rebecca L. Uchic of Maumee, according to the Lucas County auditor's Web site. The cause of the fire is listed as under investigation.

On June 24, a firefighter was treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after a fire at the same building. The cause of that fire was also under investigation, a spokesman said Monday.
