East Toledo fire leaves 4 adults, child homeless

Authorities Tuesday continued their probe of a fire that left four adults and a child homeless when it destroyed a multifamily dwelling on Toledo's east side.

The occupants escaped unhurt by the time fire crews arrived at 2:08 a.m. at 337 East Broadway, according to the Toledo fire department. The fire report listed Howard Gaston as one of the occupants. The four-family residencewas demolished.

The Lucas County auditor's Web site lists Trinidad Holdings LLC of Falmouth, Mass., as owner of the structure. Damage was estimated at $81,800.
