Deputies were called about 9 p.m. to the home in the 8000 block of Suder Avenue after an intruder assaulted the homeowner with a blunt object and stole cash before fleeing in the homeowner’s own vehicle.

The victim was treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo for injuries to his head, neck, and rib areas.

The black male was seen driving southbound on Suder Avenue towards Toledo in an older blue Chevrolet or GMC truck with a gray or silver stripe along the bottom and possibly lawn mowers in the bed of the truck, deputies said.
