Man charged with killing ex-girlfriend, her new partner
7/23/2012ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- A 39-year-old man has been charged with murder, accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and her new partner -- who had been the suspect's host -- dismembering their bodies, and dumping them in a river.
Roger Bowling faces two counts each of first-degree murder, mutilation of a body, and having a firearm in a felony, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Sunday.
First-degree murder carries a mandatory penalty of life in prison without parole.
Mr. Bowling also is charged with tampering with evidence. His arraignment is set for today in Allen Park District Court.
The dismembered bodies of Chris Hall, 42, and his fiancee, Danielle Greenway, 32, were found Tuesday in the Detroit River and a canal that feeds the milewide river that separates Detroit from Windsor, Ontario. A circular saw and a suitcase also were discovered.
Relatives reported the couple missing Wednesday after having no contact for at least five days.
Police arrested Mr. Bowling on Thursday.
