Police were still searching late Monday for the Toledo man accused of shooting and killing his off-again, on-again girlfriend in Perrysburg Township on Sunday.

Perrysburg Township police Chief Mark Hetrick said officers spent Monday following up on tips into the whereabouts of Jose Moya, Jr.

"We're considering him armed," the chief said, adding Mr. Moya, 23, was "absolutely dangerous."

Leandra Frankum, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene at 25864 Broad St., between Wilson and Jefferson streets. Mr. Moya and Ms. Frankum did not live at the house but were just there visiting, the chief said.

Chief Hetrick declined to say where Ms. Frankum was shot nor how many times she was shot, citing the ongoing investigation.

He did not know more details about whether the couple had a history of violence or what events led up to the shooting.

Police are also searching for Raul Moya. Chief Hetrick declined to say how the Toledo man is connected to the case.

Raul Moya is an 18-year-old relative of the shooting suspect, although the chief did not know more details about the extent of the relationship.

Anyone with information about the two men is asked to contact the police at 419-874-3551.
