Toledo police today were looking for suspects involved in an incident in which they say a Toledo man was shot and another was robbed on the city’s east side.

Jarrett Livingston, 23, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with critical injuries, said Toledo police spokesman Sgt. Joe Heffernan. The hospital said they did not have a patient by that name.

The incident happened about 2:10 a.m. today at 6th Street and Platt Street, police said.

Samuel Myers, 21, told police he and the shooting victim were walking down the street when they were approached by two men, who then threatened them with a gun, went through their pockets, shot his companion in the stomach, and fled. His wallet and debit card were taken, the man, who was not injured, told police, according to the police report.

Police did not have a good description of the assailants.
