Toledo police this morning released the names of two people injured in a late-night crash on I-475.

Corey Layson and Christopher Bauer, whose ages were not available, were taken to different Toledo hospitals for treatment after the crash, reported at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said in an incident report that Mr. Layson, of Toledo, was driving at 132 mph on eastbound I-475 near Promedica Parkway when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

A third party, Mark Cameron, of Toledo, saw the crash, turned on his hazard lights, and stopped his car behind Mr. Layson apparently to prevent other cars from hitting the man.

Mr. Bauer, also driving a motorcycle, crashed into the back of Mr. Cameron’s car, according to the police report.

Mr. Layson was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he is listed in fair condition; Mr. Bauer, also listed in fair condition, is being treated at Toledo Hospital.

Mr. Cameron was not injured, police said.

The eastbound lanes were closed until 1:30 a.m.

A second crash was reported to police at about 11:05 p.m., in which a motorcycle and another vehicle crashed at Lewis Avenue and Laskey Road. One person was taken by Life Squad to St. Vincent.

That person’s name has not yet been released.
