Man to be arraigned in shootings of 2

A Toledo man is to be arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court today on two counts of felonious assault from a June shooting.

Charles Hayes, 23, of 1528 Woodland Ave. is accused of shooting Marvin Davis, 31, and Erroll Brewer, Jr., 24, at the Valero gas station at 3365 Monroe St, on June 9.

The two men were buying gasoline at 2:50 a.m. when they were shot at.

Davis was hit five times; bullets shattered his femur and caused serious injury to his internal organs, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Mr. Brewer was shot once in the shoulder, according to court documents.
