Tiffin man indicted for rape charges

TIFFIN — An 18-year-old Tiffin man has been indicted by a Seneca County grand jury for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with two youngsters on a school bus last school year.

Gregory Simpkins is to be arraigned Sept. 4 before Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Steve Shuff on three counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition. The charges stem from incidents that reportedly occurred between August, 2011, and last May involving an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old.

Mr. Simpkins, who was arrested Friday, is being held in the Seneca County jail.
