Toledo man arraigned in shooting of 2 in June

A Toledo man accused of shooting two in a June assault was arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Charles Hayes, 23, of 1528 Woodland Ave., charged with two counts of felonious assault, was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

Police allege that the suspect shot Marvin Davis, 31, and Erroll Brewer, Jr., 24, at the Valero gas station at 3365 Monroe St. on June 9 as they were buying gas.

Davis was reportedly hit five times; bullets shattered his femur and caused injury to his internal organs, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Mr. Brewer was shot once in the shoulder, according to court documents
