BOWLING GREEN – Two men are facing felony charges after a traffic stop on I-75 in Wood County resulted in a crack cocaine seizure, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver, David Ryan Riley, 28, of Muncie, Ind., and passenger, Richard Allen Barnes, 24, of Detroit, were charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of cocaine, both first-degree felonies, the patrol reported. Both men also were charged with various misdemeanor charges.

Troopers seized 93 grams of crack cocaine, worth nearly $14,000, during the stop near milepost 186 at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release from the patrol's Bowling Green post.

Troopers stopped a 1999 Ford Contour, with fictitious registration, for a marked lanes violation, the post reported. Troopers reportedly smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle and suspects, finding crack cocaine in the trunk as well as drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

Both suspects were being held in the Wood County Justice Center. If convicted, they face up to 20 years in prison and up to a $40,000 fine.
