A Toledo man accused of helping orchestrate a robbery has been arrested and scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court Monday.

Matthew Underwood, 26, of 1106 Norwood Ave., is charged with one count of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was held Tuesday in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.

In court documents, police accuse the suspect of aiding the planning and execution of an Aug. 27 robbery of Flop Cafe, 3325 Glendale Ave.

Police allege the suspect gave Michael Nelson, 27, of 3533 Airport Hwy., a gun to use and called Nelson several times to ask "how the robbery was going to take place."

Police stated they used phone records "verifying Underwood's involvement."

Nelson, who also was charged with one count of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, posted a $75,000 surety bond Thursday and was released from the county jail.

His preliminary hearing is Oct. 4, also in the Toledo court.
