6th suspect arrested in effort against gangs

An alleged member of the Smith Park Mafia was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Friday, the sixth person arrested on a charge of participating in a criminal gang.

Keiandre Pirtle, 21, 1103 Woodland Ave., was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Monday. Mr. Pirtle is one of at least eight Toledo men accused of being a member of the inner-city gang.
