Fire destroys 2 barns in Oregon

Two barns used as warehouses in the 4400 block of Bay Shore Road across the street from the Oregon Fire Department's Station No. 3 were destroyed by fire late Saturday.

The fires were reported at 8:40 p.m., and crews remained on the scene until around 3 p.m. Sunday, authorities said. The barns were engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, Oregon fire Chief Ed Ellis said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.

The buildings were used by Ron's Custom Trailers to store boats and boat and trailer parts, Chief Ellis said.

No injuries were reported.
