Man shot in East Toledo Sunday evening

A man was shot Sunday in East Toledo, authorities said today.

Marcus Bush, 22, was taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

According to a Toledo police incident report, police, about 7 p.m., responded to the unit block of Birmingham Terrace on a report of a person shot.

The victim was shot in the left leg, according to a police report. Police described the injuries as nonlife threatening.

Witnesses reportedly told police that the victim was shot by someone in a black car; other witnesses said the victim shot himself.

Additional details were not immediately available.

No arrests have been made.
