The site of a late-night Sunday shooting in the central city burned early this morning, officials said.

According to a Toledo police crime log, officers were called to 3269 N. Detroit Ave., the scene of the fire, at 3:46 a.m.; the fire was reported to have started at 3:39 a.m. today.

Details of the fire were not yet available at 9:30 a.m.

On Sunday at 11:14 p.m., Antonio Banks, 27, was shot in the leg at the same North Detroit Avenue home when several men kicked in the door and one, holding a rifle, shot the victim in the leg. The men demanded cash and took the $200 that the victim, and another man inside the house, threw onto the floor.

The victim was treated for his injury at Toledo Hospital, police said.

The house, built in 1915, is owned by Frederick and Dorothy McCoy, of Toledo, according to Lucas County Auditor records.
