A South Toledo fire on Thursday left at least three people without a home.

The fire at 512 South Ave., reported to the Toledo Fire Department at 11:54 a.m., engulfed the entire front of the home. The house was declared a total loss and razed Thursday afternoon, said Toledo fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld.

Two adults were home at the time, but neither was hurt. Jason Copsey, spokesman for the Red Cross of Greater Toledo, said the organization is providing shelter and clothing for three adults. The fire victims’ names were not available.

The fire’s cause remained under investigation.

The two-story home was built in 1914, according to Lucas County land records, which value the property at $16,300.
