The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is working with local and state officials to investigate a fire that broke out at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo on Sunday evening.

Det. Sgt. James Gross said investigators from the State Fire Marshals Office will be on the scene of the fire today, but he said he did not yet have a damage estimate and would not say if the fire is considered suspicious.

The center will be closed today.

Sergeant Gross said the call on the fire came in shortly before 5 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

Early reports indicated that the fire was thought to have started in a prayer room but Sergeant Gross would not comment on the exact location of the fire.
