Sandusky man dies after motorcycle hits deer
10/2/2012SANDUSKY -- A man who was thrown from his motorcycle Friday when it struck a deer died Tuesday in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Charles W. Reed, Jr., 62, of Sandusky, was pronounced dead at 8:40 a.m.
Troopers at the Sandusky post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said that Mr. Reed was northbound on Kelley Road south of Mason Road in Erie County's Milan Township about 7:55 p.m. Friday when his motorcycle struck a deer that entered the road.
Mr. Reed was not wearing a helmet and was taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent.
