A Toledo man who died several hours after being shot on Friday was hit three times, according to the Lucas County Coroner's Office.

Two of the bullets that struck Jonathan Morris, Jr., 22, proved to be fatal after striking the East Toledo man in the right hip, said Deputy Coroner Dr. Diane Scala-Barnett.

The victim was shot as he walked from one apartment to another in Ravine Park Village at 2:48 a.m. Friday, police said.

The incident was thought to be a robbery, possibly orchestrated by three men. Police later said it was a confrontation with at least one person, but that several people might have fled after the shooting.

As of Monday morning, no charges had been filed, police said.
