Pizza driver robbed in central Toledo

A Papa John's delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint Sunday morning, police said.

The driver, Cory Todd, 18, was taking a delivery to a house in the 800 block of Evesham Avenue at 12:49 a.m., police said.

When he arrived, there were four suspects -- two males and two females -- in the yard; one reached into his pocket as to get cash to pay, but instead pulled out a gun. Another one of the males searched the victim's pockets for cash; the victim's vehicle was also searched.

The suspects took the order -- two pizzas and chicken wings -- and cash before fleeing southbound through a field behind the Evesham address.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
