BELLEVUE, Ohio -- A Mansfield, Ohio, man was killed and a Tiffin woman was injured in a two-car crash Tuesday on State Rt. 4 at Strecker Road near Bellevue, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

John Klish, 88, one of the two drivers involved in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene in Erie County's Groton Township, according to the patrol's Sandusky post.

Robin Reaves, 40, the other driver, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition today.

Mr. Klish was driving west on Strecker about 12:35 p.m. when he failed to yield at a stop sign to Ms. Reaves, who was driving north on Route 4, troopers said. The crash pushed the cars off the north side of the intersection and into a field, where they came to rest.

The drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol.

The crash occurred about four miles northeast of Bellevue, which is about 45 miles southeast of Toledo.

The incident remained under investigation
