Two suspects in a murder in East Toledo Friday have turned themselves in, police said today.

Andrew Geotz, 28, of 614 Earl St., and Chaz Jackson, also 28, of 1158 Clark St., surrendered to Toledo authorities at the Safety Building downtown at 10 p.m. Monday. The pair are charged with aggravated murder in the death of Jonathan Morris, 22.

Police allege that the two suspects approached Mr. Morris in a parking lot at Ravine Park Village in East Toledo with intent to rob him. After demanding the victim's belongings, Goetz allegedly ordered Mr. Jackson to shoot. Mr. Morris was struck three times, with two of the wounds proving fatal.

Goetz himself was convicted in Lucas County Common Pleas Court in January, 2006, of attempting to carry a concealed weapon. He was sentenced to 11 months in prison, court records show. A charge of improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, filed the previous September, was dropped.
