BELLEVUE, Ohio -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol on Wednesday was investigating a two-car crash that killed a Mansfield, Ohio, man and injured a Tiffin woman the day before on State Rt. 4 at Strecker Road near Bellevue, troopers said.

John Klish, 88, one of the two drivers involved in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers from patrol’s Sandusky post.

Robin Reaves, 40, the other driver, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition Wednesday.

Mr. Klish was driving west on Strecker about 12:35 p.m. when he failed to yield at a stop sign to Ms. Reaves, who was driving north on Route 4, the patrol said. The drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol. The crash occurred about four miles northeast of Bellevue, which is about 45 miles southeast of Toledo.
