OAK HARBOR, Ohio — A 31-year-old Oak Harbor woman was injured Saturday when she was thrown from her vehicle in a single-car crash just south of here, according to troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Joni D. Parker suffered serious injuries in the accident about 1 a.m., troopers said. She was admitted to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, but her condition there was not immediately available.

Troopers said Ms. Parker was driving south on Woodrick Road just south of Cullmun Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch, a culvert, and a utility pole. She was thrown from the vehicle.

The utility pole was cut in half; the power lines and transformer were damaged but were held up by the vehicle.

Ms. Parker was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
