BOWLING GREEN — Authorities are investigating the death of a 21-year-old Bowling Green State University student who was found today in his room at a campus residence hall.

Roderick Bartlett, a junior from Detroit, died over the weekend, but foul play is not suspected, according to an email that BGSU President Mary Ellen Mazey distributed today to students and staff.

She said campus police are investigating the death of the student.

Wood County Coroner Douglas Hess would not provide additional information  other than to say that there were no signs of foul play.

“There will be nothing until tomorrow, and then it may be still a long time" until a ruling is made, he said.

Mr. Bartlett, who lived in Falcon Heights, was a middle childhood education major in the College of Education and Human Development, according to a college spokesman.
