Pedestrian struck by vehicle on West Sylvania Avenue

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle tonight while apparently trying to cross West Sylvania Avenue in front of the DeVeaux Village Shopping Center.

Emergency medical dispatchers said one person was transported to Toledo Hospital. The name and age of the victim was not immediately available.

The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Sylvania, just west of Douglas Avenue in West Toledo. Information on the driver of the vehicle or circumstances of the accident could not be obtained tonight.
