Rescue crews working to free a person from car that hit tree

The southbound Anthony Wayne Trail was closed late tonight at Detroit Avenue in Maumee as rescue crews worked to free a person from a car that hit a tree.

The crash was reported about 10:50 p.m.

Maumee and Toledo police were at the scene. Authorities did not know what caused the crash or the severity of injuries.
