SANDUSKY -- A Toledo man accused of critically injuring a woman by pushing her into an oncoming vehicle was arrested today while swimming.

Germayne Pryor, 22, of 1952 Freeman Ave., was arrested by Erie County Sheriff's deputies, acting on a tip from the Northern Ohio Violent Task Force, said U.S. Deputy Marshal Rodney Hartzell.

Pryor, charged in Toledo with one count of felonious assault, is being held in the Erie County jail, but is expected to be brought to the Lucas County jail.

The suspect, who allegedly pushed Linda Tilman, 26, of Sylvania, into a car traveling 35 to 40 mph, was arrested at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky while he and family members were swimming, Deputy Hartzell said.

The arrest happened a little after 10 p.m.

Ms. Tilman is being treated at the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, for injuries that have been described as "life threatening."

Her current condition was not immediately available.

Ms. Tilman was injured outside of a South Toledo bar, at 3122 Airport Hwy. on Oct. 6.
